A UK Expansion Worker Visa replaced the UK Sole Representative Visa from 11 April 2022 onwards. Expansion Worker Visa allows you to come to the UK to establish a branch of an overseas business that has not started trading in the UK yet. The candidate should have been employed for 12 months by the overseas company. There is an exception to this, if they are a High Earner, they do not need to have spent a minimum period working for the company.

UK Worker Expansion Visa Requirements:

Currently employed by a Business who is linked to a UK Company by way of common ownership or by joint venture
You have been employed by your Company for a minimum period of 12 months or are a high earner earning £73,900 per year
Been issued a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) by your UK Sponsor
Your job is listed on the eligible occupation list
Your UK job must pay you a minimum of £42,400 and the ‘going rate’
Have enough funds to satisfy the maintenance requirement
Provide a valid TB Test Certificate
